About the Gurley Leep Automotive Family

Founded in 1973 by Mike Leep Sr. and Van Gurley, the Gurley Leep story began with a single Dodge dealership in Highland, Indiana—and a shared belief that treating people right is simply good business. Just four years later, the partners expanded to South Bend with a Buick franchise, planting the seeds of what would become one of Michiana’s most recognized and respected automotive groups.

More than four decades later, the Gurley Leep Automotive Family has grown to include 36 franchises across 22 dealership locations in five states, powered by a team of over 1,300 dedicated professionals. Still proudly family-owned and led by Mike Leep Jr. and James Leep, our commitment to people—guests, team members, and communities—has never wavered.
